We at Seed & Sage bring you the best, most delicious and nutritious gluten-free bakes, both savoury crackers and sweet treats.
To make our savoury crackers we blend whole grain teff flour with milled flaxseed and then add our delicious flavour combinations. Enjoy this versatile range of crackers as a snack or serve them as a canapé base, a biscuit with cheese or as an accompaniment to your favourite soup or salad.
Through our range of cakes and bars we aim to provide delicious, healthy alternatives to the often sugar-laden high-GI (glycemic index) snacks, cakes and biscuits that fill supermarket shelves and cafés. Everything we make is refined and sugar free. We only use whole fruits to sweeten our bakes to deliver the whole fruit goodness as well as the sweetness we all love.
All our ingredients are carefully selected to ensure our great-tasting bakes are also wholesome. Teff is not well known outside of East Africa but this mighty little grain, the world’s smallest, is bursting with goodness. Teff has a wonderful rich nutty flavour, is naturally gluten free and is a great source of fibre, vitamins and minerals.
The nutritional benefits of our delicious bakes don’t end there. Flaxseed is the richest source of plant-based Omega-3 essential fatty acid. Also, flaxseeds are a good source of fibre, protein, magnesium and manganese - all essential for maintaining good health.
About Teff the next big supergrain
Teff packs quite a nutritional punch. Its tiny seeds are naturally gluten-free; high in calcium, iron and protein boasting an impressive set of amino acids. It is also an excellent source of fibre, key to blood sugar management, weight control and digestive health.
